What to do (and not do) after a chemical peel

Quick answer: Keep skin clean, moisturised and protected with SPF, do not pick peeling skin, and avoid retinol, exfoliants, saunas and heavy exercise for about a week.

Day 1 to 2

Skin may feel tight. Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser only.

Day 3 to 7

Peeling may start. Let it shed naturally.

Protection

Wear SPF daily; new skin is sensitive to sun.

Back to normal

Reintroduce actives after a week, or when advised.
